Some love stories just click from the very beginning, and for Aimee and Mike, it all started with a simple swipe.
The two met on Hinge five years ago and spent some time getting to know each other over text before heading out on their first date at La Lupa in North Haven, Connecticut. What began as a casual night out quickly turned into something more, with more dates following and their relationship naturally growing from there.
Not long after they made things official, life aligned in a way that made their connection even stronger. Aimee received a job offer in the city where Mike lived, making it easier for them to spend time together during the week while she was still living at home in Shelton.
About three years into their relationship, they took the next big step and moved in together, beginning renovations on Mike’s grandparents’ home to truly make it their own. Along the way, they welcomed a new addition to the family: Bo, their now two-year-old pup, who quickly became the center of their world (and, by their own admission, the one who runs the house).
Then came the proposal.
On March 21st, Mike planned the perfect day and asked Aimee to spend forever with him – a moment that marked the beginning of their next chapter together.
When it came time to choose where that next chapter would begin, the decision was surprisingly simple.
After touring The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, Aimee and Mike instantly knew it was the right place for them. The glowing string lights, the iconic willow tree, and the welcoming, intimate atmosphere all came together to create a setting that felt unmistakably them.
By the end of their tour, their decision was made – they booked on the spot.
For Aimee and Mike, The Barns isn’t just where their wedding will take place. It’s where their story continues, surrounded by everything they love most.
And we can’t wait to see it all come to life.
